This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the quarterly and annual earnings process, encompassing press releases, earnings scripts, presentation decks, Q&A, and management talking points.
• Coordinate earnings and disclosure activities with finance, accounting, legal, and external auditors.
• Oversee SEC and regulatory disclosures, including Form 8-K, 10-Q/10-K, proxy statements, and SPAC transition disclosures.
• Monitor financial results against guidance, peer benchmarks, and analyst models; provide management with advice on guidance and messaging.
• Manage relationships with sell-side analysts, rating agencies, and research organizations.
• Prepare board and executive reports on market trends, investor sentiment, trading activity, short interest, and shareholdings.
• Develop and maintain investor targeting programs for institutional, retail, and family-office investors.
• Execute investor roadshows, virtual investor days, one-on-ones, group calls, and various investor events.
• Act as the primary contact for investor inquiries, feedback, and relationship management.
• Build relationships with retail investor platforms, newsletters, fintech/trading applications, and retail investor influencers.
• Own and enhance the investor-facing narrative, value proposition, and positioning.
• Write and coordinate scripts, FAQs, prospectus narratives, investor presentations, IR website content, shareholder FAQs, and press releases.
• Lead innovative demand-generation channels, including influencers, podcasts, social media, webinars, live investor events, and digital marketing campaigns targeting investors.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, and brand teams to ensure consistent messaging.
• Monitor trading activity, shareholder composition, liquidity, major holders, insider trading, short interest, and other market dynamics.
• Analyze retail behavior, sentiment, social media/community sentiment, and feedback from investors.
• Benchmark peer investor-relations programs and identify innovative practices and channels.
• Implement KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of investor relations efforts.
• Advise executive leadership on market expectations, investor perceptions, milestones, new initiatives, M&A, capital raises, and strategic pivots.
• Serve as a bridge between finance, legal, marketing, communications, and operations to ensure consistent external messaging.
• Assist in leading crisis communications, Q&A preparation, scenario planning, and investor defense.
• Several years of experience in investor relations, corporate communications, or capital markets within a publicly traded setting.
• Ideally experienced in an IPO, SPAC, or listing process.
• Preference for candidates with startup experience.
• Strong familiarity with earnings releases, SEC/public disclosures, financial reporting, investor Q&A, and capital markets mechanics.
• Proven ability to engage retail investor audiences through apps, communities, social media, or influencer channels, along with a solid understanding of retail equity behavior.
• Excellent writing skills applicable to press releases, scripts, narratives, and Q&A.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort with financial models.
• Capability to translate financial statements into compelling narratives.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with legal, accounting, marketing, and external advisors.
• High energy and an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and under tight deadlines.
• A deep interest or experience in wellness, entertainment, or consumer/media businesses is highly preferred.
• Must possess authorization to work in the United States of America.
