This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the complete tradeshow program, encompassing calendar management, budget oversight, messaging, pre-event marketing, booth design, shipping logistics, staffing, and on-site execution.
• Collaborate with Demand Generation and Sales teams to schedule meetings prior to events.
• Ensure that all leads are recorded in HubSpot with proper attribution.
• Act as the technical expert for events and develop unique event activations.
• Oversee sponsored-event agreements for give/get arrangements, on-site presence, and database expansion through opt-ins.
• Work alongside Customer Success regarding technology for sponsored conference events.
• Identify opportunities for advocacy and provide case studies and reviews to Customer Marketing.
• Organize owned events, ranging from local workshops and dinners to the inaugural user conference.
• Establish event goals, formats, agendas, speakers, venues, run-of-show schedules, and marketing strategies.
• Maintain a single source of truth for all event-related information.
• Project manage events, vendors, and contracts.
• Forecast budgets and provide quarterly recommendations to the VP of Marketing on what should be scaled, maintained, or eliminated.
• Supervise and support the Event Coordinator who reports to this position.
• 8+ years of experience in corporate event marketing within a B2B environment.
• Background as an exhibitor at trade shows, rather than solely as an agency or organizer.
• Experience managing a large portfolio of third-party trade shows and sponsored events.
• Involvement in the planning and execution of a mid-sized user conference and exclusive dinner series.
• Strong expertise in event technology, including registration systems, lead capture applications, badge printing, and building event apps using competitors' platforms.
• Familiarity with IMEX, MPI, PCMA, CSAE, or ASAE is advantageous.
• Experience managing an event budget and demonstrating returns in terms of pipeline and revenue.
• Proficient in writing event messaging and promotional copy.
• Experience with HubSpot and lead attribution.
• Willingness to travel approximately once a month across North America and Europe.
• Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident eligible to work and travel to the US, Canada, and Europe.
• A safe, comfortable, ergonomic, private, and quiet workspace is required.
• A reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 30 Mbps is essential.
