Director of Finance, Consumer Products

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the accounting and finance operations that support Consumer Products Sales and Marketing.

• Act as the key financial business partner to the Executive VP of Growth & Brand.

• Deliver precise, timely, and insightful financial information to facilitate ongoing improvement.

• Lead monthly pricing initiatives by examining month-to-month cost fluctuations and the effects of Federal Order, Virginia Commission, and Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board premiums and expenses.

• Coordinate pricing efforts with the internal team, including data entry into internal and external systems and managing customer pricing communications.

• Collaborate with Sales to set budgets by SKU, month, and plant.

• Create substantial connections between budgeted outcomes and actual results.

• Prepare slides and presentations for board meetings as required.

• Evaluate new business prospects, customer proposals, school bids, and potential co-packing agreements.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.

• A higher-level degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving manufacturing and/or corporate setting.

• At least 1 year of experience in the month-end closing process.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with process manufacturing.

• At least 1 year of experience with standard costing methodology is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Applications and ERP Accounting software, with SAP being preferred.

• Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various channels.

• Capability to address complex issues with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work collaboratively with others.

• Willingness to travel by car to company locations and off-site meetings.

• Capability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
