This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a strategic financial partner to hospital CEOs, CFOs, and operational leaders across various client engagements.
• Facilitate financial reviews, performance discussions, and action planning with stakeholders from client organizations.
• Manage diverse client priorities, ensuring the timely and high-quality provision of financial insights and support.
• Influence decision-making processes without direct authority, fostering accountability and achieving results.
• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams across finance, revenue cycle, and operational sectors.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to both client finance personnel and internal team members as needed.
• Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities across designated client hospitals.
• Provide strategic advice on financial risks, opportunities, and long-term planning initiatives.
• Track financial performance and suggest actions to enhance operating margins, cost structures, and overall efficiency.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Supervise or assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
• Prepare and deliver financial insights and reports to client leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to applicable financial regulations and healthcare-specific standards (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission).
• Collaborate with revenue cycle leadership to enhance billing, coding, collections, and denial management processes.
• Analyze reimbursement trends, payer mixes, and contract performance across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Work with department leaders to assess service line performance, cost management opportunities, and capital investments.
• Aid clinical and operational decision-making through financial modeling and utilization analysis.
• Conduct financial reviews related to staffing, labor productivity, supply chain utilization, and throughput improvements.
• Assist in capital planning processes, including ROI analysis and prioritization of investments.
• Provide financial oversight and analysis for capital projects, such as equipment and technology investments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• An MBA, MHA, CPA, or other relevant advanced certification is preferred.
• 7–10+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally within hospital or healthcare environments.
• Experience supporting multiple facilities, business units, or clients is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with hospital budgeting, reimbursement methodologies, and financial analytics is essential.
• Strong understanding of hospital operations, service lines, and revenue cycle processes.
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Proven ability to function effectively in a matrixed or consulting environment.
• Demonstrated capability to influence senior leaders without direct authority.
• Proficient in healthcare financial systems (e.g., Meditech, Infor/Lawson, Oracle/Cerner, Epic, Athena) and Microsoft Excel.
