Director of External Relationships

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee and advance a team tasked with establishing strategic partnerships throughout North Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.

β€’ Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with referral partners, such as MCOs, care management organizations, support coordination agencies, schools, hospitals, and community organizations.

β€’ Represent Abound Health at industry events, community meetings, resource fairs, and with partner organizations.

β€’ Lead, mentor, and develop the External Relationships team while setting clear performance objectives and expectations.

β€’ Manage a portfolio of key referral partners and create referral opportunities through trusted relationships.

β€’ Design and execute partnership and outreach strategies that support long-term organizational growth.

β€’ Monitor referral activity, relationship performance, and market trends utilizing CRM and reporting tools.

β€’ Collaborate with intake, clinical, marketing, and leadership teams to facilitate successful client placements and exceptional partner experiences.

β€’ Report directly to the Chief Growth Officer.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ In-depth knowledge of intellectual and developmental disability services, Medicaid waiver programs, and community-based healthcare systems.

β€’ Established network of industry contacts and referral partners within human services, healthcare, or related sectors.

β€’ Proven track record of building and maintaining strategic business relationships that enhance referrals and drive organizational growth.

β€’ Demonstrated leadership experience in coaching, developing, and managing high-performing teams.

β€’ Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

β€’ Proficient in utilizing CRM systems, reporting tools, and data to assess performance and inform decision-making.

β€’ Capability to manage multiple priorities and excel in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

β€’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related area preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

β€’ Over 10 years of relevant experience in healthcare, human services, business development, provider relations, payer relations, or related fields.

β€’ Required travel of 50-75%, primarily within North Carolina, with occasional travel to other Abound Health markets and administrative offices.
