Director of Enterprise Application Services

📋 Description

• Ensure an exceptional user experience for university faculty, staff, and students.

• Lead and collaborate as a key member of the enterprise application services team.

• Comprehend and document the functional requirements of university stakeholders.

• Evaluate current and potential system solutions.

• Implement suitable technology solutions.

• Create and sustain automated data integrations.

• Supervise institutional reporting and guarantee system reliability.

• Provide oversight, mentorship, and active leadership throughout enterprise application and data lifecycles.

• Set clear expectations, offer coaching, provide regular feedback, conduct staff meetings, and perform personnel evaluations for direct reports.

• Manage CRM, SIS, LMS, campus portal, intranet, and other enterprise applications to ensure 99.999% uptime and reliability.

• Oversee the Data Warehouse infrastructure and PowerBI reporting to achieve 99.999% uptime and reliability.

• Supervise business analysis operations and implement technology and process enhancement strategies.

• Design and develop technology solutions while automating enterprise system data integrations.

• Establish and manage Change Management and Release Management standards.

• Guide project sponsors, stakeholders, and teams through the system development life cycles.

• Plan staffing and resource allocations driven by data analysis.

• Create system designs, data flow diagrams, requirements, project timelines, and associated documentation.

• Coordinate project resources to deliver solutions within designated timeframes and budget constraints.

• Address provisioning, access, integration, and data security/integrity in projects.

• Prioritize time and resources in alignment with university and departmental goals.

• Identify functional requirements and streamline repetitive manual processes.

• Guide implementation efforts to ensure operational reliability.

• Coordinate measures for security, sustainability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

• Communicate system availability and maintenance updates.

• Maintain project, communication, testing, training, systems, and process documentation.

• Develop responsibility assignment matrices and project schedules.

• Foster partnerships with business units, ITS teams, and vendors to address operational challenges.

• Analyze root causes, business processes, and systems to optimize resources and enhance university ROI.

• Create documentation, training materials, and tip sheets for functional users.

• Perform additional projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in enterprise application development, implementation, and management covering Business Intelligence/Institutional Reporting, System Integration Design/Development/Management, Systems Design/Development/Management, Systems Administration/Management, Business Analysis, Process Improvement/Management, Project Management, Change Management, and Personnel Management.

• Experience in CRM management is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.

• Database development, web, and/or application programming experience is advantageous.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• An advanced degree is highly preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Positive attitude and solutions-oriented mindset.

• Capability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proficiency in PowerBI.

• Competence in MS Word.

• Proficiency in MS Excel.

• Familiarity with project management tools.

• Experience with workflow diagramming tools.

• Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment utilizing virtual meeting tools, Instant Messaging, Salesforce, Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.

• Competence in efficiently operating a computer and its peripheral devices.

• Ability to sit or stand for six to eight hours.

• Capacity to work at least 40 hours per week.
