This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the technical vision across US Ticketing, encompassing architecture, system ownership, modernization, and platform boundaries.
• Guide the progression of a well-established, mission-critical platform while managing client obligations, delivery, reliability, scalability, and modernization.
• Directly contribute through coding, prototyping, debugging, architecture evaluations, technical designs, or documentation as necessary.
• Initiate AI-native engineering methodologies across design, development, testing, operations, and software comprehension.
• Collaborate with Product and Design leadership to influence strategy.
• Gain insights into clients and business, differentiating client-specific requirements from long-term platform opportunities.
• Engage in significant conversations with clients, sales, and implementation when technical context is crucial.
• Mentor and develop Engineering Managers and senior technical leaders.
• Enhance the engineering organization by cultivating leaders, advancing Staff+ talent, and refining team structure.
• Foster an engineering culture centered on ownership, technical discussions, execution, and sustainable performance.
• Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams and Engineering Managers within a sophisticated software organization.
• Strong technical judgment and architectural expertise for challenging system and platform decisions.
• Capability to contribute technically through architecture, technical documentation, prototyping, debugging, and coding.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted software development.
• Clear perspective on how AI transforms engineering practices and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in evolving mature, mission-critical systems while consistently delivering customer value.
• Track record of formulating technical strategies from ambiguous product and business challenges.
• Experience collaborating with senior Product and Design leaders and quickly grasping complex customer domains.
• Background in developing Engineering Managers and Staff+ engineers.
• Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, ownership, and decision-making abilities amidst incomplete information.
• Familiarity with ticketing, live events, commerce, payments, reservations, inventory, or similarly intricate transactional systems is a plus.
