Director of Digital Platform Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Guide the Platform Services team in delivering scalable and impactful solutions that align with the technology objectives of the enterprise.

• Formulate and execute platform engineering strategies utilizing containerization technologies, including Kubernetes, along with infrastructure as code and large-scale automation.

• Create and manage deployment automation pipelines to enhance and stabilize the software delivery process.

• Promote secure, cost-efficient, and resilient multi-cloud infrastructure by applying cloud engineering best practices.

• Oversee the management of cloud landing zones to ensure consistent, automated provisioning and governance.

• Supervise platform operations with a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) approach, ensuring observability, reliability, and effective incident response.

• Advocate for an optimal developer experience through self-service tools and streamlined environments.

• Lead team development, nurture vendor relationships, and foster cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 4 years of leadership experience in cloud engineering and operations within complex, large-scale enterprise environments.

• More than 8 years of progressive IT experience, with extensive knowledge in cloud services, infrastructure, and platform operations.

• Proven track record of collaborating with infrastructure and application delivery teams to design and implement integrated, scalable IT solutions.

• Relevant professional cloud computing certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect.

• Demonstrated success in implementing automation within cloud environments.

• Practical experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools.

• Strong background in technical project management, strategic planning, and leading digital transformation initiatives in cloud-first or hybrid IT organizations.
