Director of Data & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance and implement Brandt’s enterprise data and analytics strategy.

• Lead the development of the data and analytics roadmap.

• Cultivate strong relationships with the Senior Leadership Team to prioritize data initiatives.

• Ensure effective communication across departments to facilitate data collection and support data-driven decision making.

• Set the groundwork for practical AI and ML initiatives through robust data preparation.

• Guide the team in creating dashboards and self-service business intelligence solutions.

• Advocate for precise and efficient reporting that aligns with business objectives.

• Provide leadership and oversight for the enterprise data model, semantic layer, and reporting architecture.

• Collaborate with Technology to advance Microsoft Fabric as the architecture for data warehousing and enterprise data integration.

• Supervise ingestion and transformation pipelines for key enterprise data sources.

• Establish reliable, governed datasets as a singular source of truth.

• Enhance data quality, performance, and governance within the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.

• Lead and mentor the BI manager and a wider team of analysts and engineers.

• Work collaboratively across departments to convert business requirements into analytical solutions.

• Collaborate with the CFO to oversee the data department’s budget and performance objectives.

• Report directly to the CFO, with a dotted-line relationship to the CTO.

• Achieve milestones for Microsoft Fabric Phase 1, including stakeholder adoption and team development, within the first six months.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.

• Over 10 years of progressive experience in Data & Analytics, including leadership experience with teams and cross-functional initiatives.

• Strong grasp of dimensional modeling, semantic models, SQL, data integration, and cloud data platforms.

• Prior hands-on experience providing technical direction with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, and contemporary cloud analytics architectures.

• Experience integrating enterprise data sources, including Google Analytics, proprietary transactional databases, payment platforms, and REST/API-based systems.

• Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and proactive initiative.

• A proven history of increased responsibility and achievements.

• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

• Must reside in the US full time.
