This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.
• Develop and oversee national sales and service operations to achieve or surpass revenue, bookings, and profitability targets.
• Drive strategic growth within essential customer relationships.
• Lead a high-performing National Accounts team.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment on crucial organizational issues.
• Utilize knowledge of product lines, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations.
• Guide sales teams in identifying growth opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Hire, retain, assess, coach, and nurture sales representatives.
• Cultivate relationships with key customers, OEMs, distributors, channel partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Spearhead territory expansion and strategic market development initiatives.
• Design and implement sales processes, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks.
• Direct selling efforts and manage sales channels.
• Formulate and execute sales strategies while sustaining existing customer relationships.
• Develop executive-level connections with customer decision-makers across multi-site and national organizations.
• Seek opportunities in industrial, material handling, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, and energy-related sectors.
• Collaborate with service, operations, engineering, marketing, and product management teams.
• Manage profit and loss, sales forecasting, margin tracking, and cost management.
• Lead contract negotiations and establish long-term commercial agreements.
• Represent EnerSys at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and strategic business reviews.
• Create and maintain networks that support growth, market intelligence, and business development.
• Support organizational goals and long-term business objectives.
• Communicate effectively across customers, team members, and executive leadership.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Supervise employees.
• Bachelor’s degree and over 8 years of progressive sales and management experience.
• Proven history of driving growth and meeting business objectives.
• Experience within the battery, power solutions, and/or material handling sectors.
• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and clearly articulate technical electrical systems.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in motivating, coaching, and developing teams.
• Capacity to build productive partnerships across various functions and organizational levels.
• Strong dedication to customer success.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime.
• Must be able and willing to be on-call.
• Approximately 50% travel required.
