This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
β’ Manage the scientific communications team within the Medical Affairs department.
β’ Provide support for Medical Information services related to the launch and continuous medical assistance for both marketed and pipeline products.
β’ Direct the Medical Information strategy, which includes the creation and updating of standard response letters and FAQs.
β’ Ensure the accuracy of the Medical Information database while implementing necessary upgrades and enhancements.
β’ Supervise training for the call center on disease states, critical product information, work instructions, and handling procedures.
β’ Offer clinical guidance for escalated medical and access inquiries.
β’ Participate in the scientific and medical review of promotional and scientific materials via the Medical Legal Review committee.
β’ Oversee the creation of resources for field medical and market access as well as scientific communication initiatives.
β’ Manage submissions to drug compendia such as NCCN in collaboration with cross-functional strategic partners.
β’ Establish strategic direction and handle the daily operations of Medical Information activities.
β’ Recruit and mentor staff as needed.
β’ Collaborate with pharmacovigilance, quality, medical, field medical, commercial, regulatory, legal, clinical development, and external partners.
β’ Manage Medical Information vendors and enhance business operations.
β’ Provide oversight and support for scientific conferences.
β’ Ensure the development and updates of departmental policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
β’ An advanced degree in the sciences is required (MD/PhD/PharmD).
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in Medical Information or Medical Communications.
β’ A clear understanding of both internal and external regulatory and ethical guidelines that pertain to the pharmaceutical industry.
β’ Extensive knowledge of the drug development process, medical affairs, patient safety, and commercial operations.
β’ Demonstrated ability to interpret, communicate, and implement medical/scientific strategies using systems, tools, and processes such as Veeva Vault and CRM.
β’ Strong leadership skills and credibility within multicultural organizations and with external stakeholders.
β’ Experience in team building with direct reports is preferred.
β’ Ability to efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks.
β’ Capability to build and sustain relationships with thought leaders and key decision-makers.
β’ Exceptional communication and diplomacy skills that blend science with relationship management.
β’ Ability to translate customer and client needs into effective decisions and foster continuous improvement.
