Clinical Director, NYS LCSW

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish and maintain clinical standards across all programs and modalities.

• Supervise the processes of intake, assessment, treatment planning, and discharge.

• Act as the escalation point for high-risk cases, crisis scenarios, and intricate clinical decisions.

• Keep a minimized direct-service caseload.

• Deliver individual and group clinical supervision to LMSWs, LMHCs, and licensed practitioners.

• Oversee hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for the clinical team.

• Develop training and continuing education programs.

• Ensure that documentation, treatment plans, and clinical records comply with NYS OMH, Medicaid, and payer standards.

• Direct utilization reviews, chart audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Maintain preparedness for regulatory surveys and accreditation evaluations.

• Collaborate with leadership on new service lines, specialty programs, and expansion strategies.

• Monitor productivity, scheduling, and access-to-care metrics.

• Represent the practice with referral partners, community organizations, and payers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active NYS LCSW license in good standing.

• Over 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience in outpatient mental health.

• More than 3 years in a supervisory or program leadership position (Clinical Director, Program Director, Associate Clinical Director, Senior Clinical Supervisor, or equivalent).

• Familiarity with NYS OMH regulations and outpatient mental health compliance.

• Proficient with EHR systems and clinical documentation standards.

• Preferred: LCSW-R designation.

• Preferred: SIFI certification or documented experience supervising social work interns.

• Preferred: Experience in an OMH-licensed Article 31 clinic or a comparable regulated outpatient setting.

• Preferred: Background in quality improvement, utilization review, or accreditation (CARF, Joint Commission).

• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish or other languages relevant to the community served).
