Director, Materials Execution and Customer Fulfillment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Interpret demand, supply, and inventory signals to establish clear execution priorities across various plants.

• Take ownership of materials availability and ensure customer order fulfillment across the network.

• Manage shortage situations, prioritize orders, and implement recovery actions when supply limitations jeopardize customer commitments.

• Direct cross-functional execution involving plant materials, planning, purchasing, operations, and fulfillment teams.

• Propel the reduction of backlog and past-due orders through structured glidepaths, weekly liquidation plans, root-cause analysis, and risk escalation.

• Guide plant planning teams in addressing shortages, capacity limitations, supplier risks, and fulfillment challenges.

• Enforce planning standards, master data discipline, and ensure consistent execution processes across all plants.

• Oversee the monitoring and enhancement of on-time delivery, fill rates, backlog, past-due orders, material availability, schedule attainment, and expedite frequency.

• Spearhead corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives within a multi-site manufacturing environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and utilizing data to manage execution risks, set priorities, and evaluate performance.

• Excellent skills in communication, escalation management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Extensive experience in materials management, supply chain execution, operations, or customer fulfillment within a multi-site manufacturing context.

• Strong expertise in shortage management, inventory control, backlog reduction, and customer order recovery.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional execution spanning planning, purchasing, operations, logistics, and plant teams.
