This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the results and performance of external data partnerships, which include third-party platforms, vendors, and technology solutions.
• Create and implement the organization’s strategy for data partnerships.
• Determine the essential data requirements for the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Medical, Market Access, and Patient Services to identify, assess, and manage external data partnerships.
• Enhance medical insights, real-world evidence, access, patient services, field medical execution, and decision-making focused on outcomes.
• Discover and assess innovative data offerings and opportunities to incorporate AI-enabled capabilities.
• Set data quality SLAs and metrics alongside external data partners.
• Supervise and enforce data quality, security, compliance, and regulatory standards for external data sources, platforms, and vendors.
• Resolve data quality concerns with data vendors and cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate data acquisition from the requirement gathering phase through to integration into Novartis platforms and systems.
• Establish oversight mechanisms for external data partnerships and data-sharing agreements.
• Promote data stewardship practices across platforms, vendors, and technology solutions.
• Deliver performance metrics and governance reports to senior leadership.
• Organize training and awareness initiatives regarding compliant data usage.
• Continuously assess partnerships and technology solutions to uphold standards across DIPP data partnerships.
• Evaluate emerging data capabilities, AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics opportunities, and new partnership models.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in establishing and managing data partnerships, with a strong emphasis on data governance, data management, or related positions.
• In-depth understanding of data partnership principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic collaborations with external data providers and vendors.
• Preferred experience in working for a data vendor or collaborating extensively with data vendors, functional teams, or therapeutic area teams to define, evaluate, integrate, and operationalize data assets.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards pertaining to data privacy and security.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Capability to influence and facilitate change in a complex organizational environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in assessing and managing risks related to external data partnerships, ensuring the integrity, security, and quality of shared data.
• This position may be performed remotely from anywhere in the U.S., with some restrictions potentially applying based on the legal entity.
• Willingness to travel 20% domestically and/or internationally.
