This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive the creation and implementation of the Law Firm Analytics roadmap.
• Collaborate with the CEO, COO, Managing Attorneys, and senior leadership to pinpoint high-impact analytics opportunities.
• Develop frameworks for prioritizing analytics initiatives based on their business impact, feasibility, and scalability.
• Foster a culture of analytical rigor, curiosity, accountability, and proactive problem-solving.
• Define and enhance methodologies for performance measurement, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support.
• Partner with Data Engineering and Technology to ensure that analytics capabilities are both scalable and reliable.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture a growing team of analysts and senior analysts.
• Set expectations for analytical quality, business partnership, communication, and ownership.
• Create scalable processes for project intake, prioritization, execution, and quality assurance.
• Act as a strategic analytics partner to Law Firm Operations throughout the entire case lifecycle, from intake to resolution.
• Develop frameworks for evaluating attorney, case manager, team, and operational performance across various regions.
• Define, refine, and standardize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Identify bottlenecks, performance variability, capacity constraints, and structural inefficiencies.
• Translate operational data into actionable recommendations for operational leaders.
• Create forecasting and monitoring capabilities for emerging opportunities and risks.
• Spearhead predictive analytics and decision-support capabilities.
• Discover opportunities to leverage data, automation, and AI in operational decision-making.
• Develop scenario models for staffing, capacity planning, growth, and strategic initiatives.
• Establish measurement frameworks for both operational and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Technology and Data Engineering to integrate models and insights into frontline workflows.
• Assess analytical approaches, data quality, modeling methodologies, and technical trade-offs.
• Guide the use of SQL, Python/R, visualization, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and modern analytics tools.
• Set standards for analytical rigor, data integrity, documentation, and reproducibility.
• Over 8 years of experience in business analytics, strategy, data science, operations analytics, or a related discipline, with a proven record of advancement in scope and leadership.
• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, or managing analytics professionals.
• Strong strategic and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to navigate complex and ambiguous business challenges.
• Capacity to collaborate with senior executives and operational leaders, influencing decisions through data insights.
• Comprehensive understanding of performance measurement, forecasting, statistical analysis, and/or predictive modeling.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong technical fluency.
• Hands-on experience with Python/R is preferred.
• Ability to convert complex analytical results into clear business recommendations and actionable steps.
• Solid understanding of data quality, data modeling, and analytics infrastructure.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• High intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a strong ownership mentality.
• Preferred: experience in building or scaling an analytics organization.
• Preferred: background in legal, professional services, healthcare, or other high-volume operational settings.
• Preferred: experience with predictive modeling and operationalizing analytical models.
• Preferred: experience collaborating with technology teams to embed analytics into operational workflows.
• Preferred: experience utilizing AI or automation to enhance business processes.
