Director, Internal Communications – Employer Brand

📋 Description

• Lead Circle's internal communications and employer branding initiatives.

• Create internal communication strategies for significant projects, organizational milestones, and company objectives.

• Craft communication narratives centered on the company strategy and OKRs for employees across various functions and regions.

• Develop and expand internal communication programs tailored for a distributed workforce.

• Oversee editorial planning, channel governance, distribution methods, and measurement frameworks.

• Manage the evolution of Circle’s intranet strategy in collaboration with IT.

• Facilitate sensitive, high-stakes, and change-related communication efforts.

• Advance Circle’s employee value proposition in collaboration with Talent Acquisition, People leadership, and Marketing teams.

• Spearhead employer brand storytelling and content strategy across career-related content, employee narratives, social media content, recruitment campaigns, and talent engagement activities.

• Enhance candidate experience utilizing survey insights, feedback, and market trends.

• Establish an employer brand intelligence infrastructure, incorporating LLM/AI sentiment analysis and competitive benchmarking.

• Promote Circle’s visibility in employer awards and talent-focused external initiatives.

• Build and manage Circle’s alumni network.

• Ensure coherence between employer branding, people narrative, and corporate story.

• Supervise executive messaging, employee highlights, onboarding communications, event content, and campaign materials.

• Collaborate with Corporate Communications, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, and People & Workplace teams.

• Manage employee lifecycle communications, particularly for new hires and onboarding.

• Provide counsel to People & Workplace leadership, Corporate Communications, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Implement change-management principles in communications planning.

• Develop AI-enhanced workflows and leverage AI for research, drafting, localization, content adaptation, measurement, and workflow design.

• Contribute reusable prompts, templates, and automations to Circle’s shared AI ecosystem.

• Identify automation prospects and exercise judgment regarding appropriate AI applications.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of progressive experience in internal communications, marketing, HR communications, content strategy, or a related domain.

• Significant experience operating in intricate, cross-functional environments.

• Outstanding writing and editorial judgment across various formats.

• Proficient in tailoring voice and messaging for executives, employees, candidates, and cross-functional audiences.

• Strong strategic instincts coupled with operational discipline.

• Proven track record in driving internal communications programs within a dynamic, global organization.

• Experience in communications planning, leadership messaging, editorial strategy, and stakeholder advisory roles.

• Background in shaping or scaling employer branding efforts, including EVP development, talent storytelling, campaign planning, or employer brand evaluation.

• Comfort in utilizing data and insights to evaluate effectiveness and enhance communication outcomes.

• Ability to influence across various functions and levels while fostering collaboration.

• People management experience with a proven ability to develop talent, deliver constructive feedback, and build cohesive teams.

• Demonstrated fluency in AI within a communications, content, or branding context.

• Preferred: experience in financial services, fintech, digital assets, or another rapidly evolving, highly regulated sector.

• Preferred: experience in supporting communications during rapid growth, organizational change, IPOs, M&As, or rapid scaling.
