Director, Install Project Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio consisting of more than 40 annual implementations in ambulatory, acute care, Tribal, PACE, and member expansion.

• Guarantee that implementations are completed on schedule, within scope, budget, and in alignment with both organizational and member goals.

• Develop implementation governance, methodologies, standards, tools, and best practices.

• Provide executive oversight throughout the planning, execution, stabilization, and transition phases to ongoing operations.

• Track portfolio performance using KPIs, milestones, financial metrics, member satisfaction, and operational results.

• Manage forecasting, portfolio reporting, resource planning, and capacity management.

• Propel member-defined goals in clinical, operational, financial, and adoption areas.

• Collaborate with member executives and stakeholders to ensure organizational readiness and facilitate Epic adoption.

• Advocate for customer-centric responsiveness, transparency, accountability, and service excellence.

• Act as the executive escalation point for complex issues related to implementation, operations, and customer service.

• Build cross-functional partnerships with Install Analysts, Data Conversion, IT, PTP, Interoperability, Clinical Informatics, Customer Experience, Member Care Team, Learning, Product, and Executive Leadership.

• Organize executive governance forums, sponsor meetings, steering committees, and portfolio reviews.

• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks and dependencies associated with implementations.

• Lead post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.

• Continuously enhance methodologies, tools, standards, and governance processes.

• Guide, mentor, and develop a high-performing project management team.

• Set performance expectations, accountability standards, and professional development plans.

• Assist in succession planning and workforce development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, healthcare, health informatics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• A PMP certificate, CAPM certificate, or a minimum of five years' experience in leading EHR implementations is required.

• Epic module certification is strongly preferred.

• At least 8 years of professional business experience, ideally in healthcare and IT.

• Demonstrated experience managing and directing seven or more direct reports along with a team of over 30 staff, including aspects like recruitment, training and development, and rewards and recognition.

• Familiarity with project management systems, tools, and tasks.

• Proven success in managing relationships at both administrative and executive levels, internally and externally.

• Technical capability to effectively collaborate with members.

• Proficiency in Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or a similar project management system is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently from a home office.

• Access to high-speed internet service.

• A distraction-free work environment.

• Competence in reading, speaking, writing, and comprehending English at a professional level.

• May be required to provide rotating after-hours and weekend on-call troubleshooting support.
