Director, Initiative Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the successful implementation of essential cross-functional projects.

• Manage the entire delivery lifecycle from scoping and planning to execution, adoption, and closure.

• Develop delivery frameworks that include milestones, responsible parties, dependencies, decision points, and success metrics.

• Create a governance schedule through status updates, risk logs, stakeholder communications, and decision tracking.

• Facilitate collaborative sessions and decision-making forums.

• Lead daily operations across various workstreams and address any obstacles.

• Ensure teams are held accountable for their commitments and escalate any risks or decisions as necessary.

• Organize operational readiness for system and tool implementations, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and launch planning.

• Collaborate with Product and Development teams to plan launches and reduce operational disruptions.

• Conclude initiatives with documented results, insights gained, and transitions to steady-state operations.

• Report directly to the Senior Vice President of Technology Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10+ years of experience in product or program delivery, project management, or cross-functional operations roles.

• Demonstrated success in delivering complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from start to finish with measurable outcomes.

• Strong delivery discipline: capable of managing multiple workstreams, sustaining momentum, and finalizing initiatives.

• Excellent planning and governance capabilities, including risk management, dependency tracking, stakeholder communication, and status reporting.

• Ability to establish structure and clarity in ambiguous situations without needing a predefined framework.

• Outstanding ability to collaborate across an organization to achieve strategic objectives.

• In-depth knowledge of product software delivery life cycles.

• Experience with Atlassian collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence) or similar platforms.

• Preferred: experience in technology-enabled healthcare services, digital health, or operations in health plans, providers, or pharmacies.

• Preferred: familiarity with workflows that involve patients, clinical operations, or care delivery processes.

• Preferred: experience in delivering EHR, CRM, or internal platform implementations.

• Preferred: background in high-growth, venture-backed, or startup environments.

• Preferred: understanding of Agile, hybrid, or structured delivery methodologies.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring company-sponsored visa sponsorship.

• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening is required.
