Director, Information Technology – Enterprise AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a long-term IT, cybersecurity, and AI strategy that aligns with the company’s growth goals.

• Provide guidance to leadership on cutting-edge technologies, industry developments, cyber threats, and AI possibilities.

• Direct the governance, architecture, standards, and best practices for enterprise technology.

• Propel digital transformation projects that enhance employee efficiency, customer satisfaction, and operational scalability.

• Oversee the integration of technology platforms for acquired companies.

• Manage the enterprise cybersecurity strategy, including risk management, security operations, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery programs.

• Supervise endpoint security, identity and access management, network security, cloud security, threat detection, vulnerability management, and AI security.

• Lead the enterprise AI strategy, including governance, adoption roadmap, policies, controls, enablement, and change management.

• Administer Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and future enterprise AI platforms, focusing on configuration, SSO, SCIM, permissions, retention, and audit logging.

• Oversee AI licensing, expenditure, integrations, data boundaries, non-human identities, adoption metrics, vendor assessments, and due diligence responses.

• Provide end-user support and manage collaboration platforms, endpoint management, workplace technology, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, and productivity tools.

• Champion infrastructure modernization, cloud optimization, automation, cloud security, and DevSecOps initiatives.

• Develop and oversee IT and security budgets, vendor relationships, contracts, and workplace technology.

• Build, mentor, and enhance IT and security teams while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 7 years of progressive leadership experience in technology.

• More than 3 years of experience in leading enterprise IT, cybersecurity, or digital transformation initiatives.

• Proven experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity frameworks and risk management systems.

• Experience managing cloud environments, preferably within AWS and Microsoft ecosystems.

• In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture, infrastructure, networking, endpoint management, and SaaS platforms.

• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence executive stakeholders.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic planning abilities.

• Practical experience in deploying and managing an enterprise generative AI platform (Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent) at an organizational level, including tenant administration, access control, data governance settings, and license oversight.

• Experience in establishing AI governance within an enterprise, including acceptable-use policies, tool intake and review, data-use limitations, and adoption metrics.

• Experience leading IT and security integration for acquired businesses.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Preferred: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, Security+, AWS Security Specialty, Microsoft Security certifications, or equivalent credentials.

• Preferred: Experience working with private equity-backed, SaaS, or multi-entity organizations.

• Preferred: Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI, privacy regulations, and modern governance frameworks.

• Preferred: Global operational experience, particularly in Mexico.

• Preferred: Knowledge of NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, the EU AI Act, and emerging U.S. state AI regulations.

• Preferred: Experience with agentic AI and non-human identity management.
