This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish OpenLoop’s implementation Project Management Office (PMO) from scratch, which includes developing playbooks, stage gates, templates, risk and change management controls, escalation protocols, and closure criteria.
• Oversee the implementation portfolio for all ongoing customer launches, managing status updates, sequencing, dependencies, committed timelines, and project manager assignments.
• Identify conflicts in schedule and capacity, advising leadership on staffing, sequencing, or trade-offs as necessary.
• Choose and implement the project management platform, designing workflows that promote user adoption and create a reliable source of truth.
• Generate customer, operational, and executive reports on implementation progress and business exposure.
• Direct project management for OpenLoop’s most significant strategic implementations, taking ownership of integrated plans, critical paths, scope, governance, and challenging client conversations.
• Recruit and mentor four Technical Project Managers.
• Coordinate readiness across Sales, Solutions Engineering, Technical Implementation, and customers from pre-signature requirements through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), sign-off, and transition.
• Collaborate with the Director of Technical Implementation on decisions regarding engineering capacity, staffing, and sequencing.
• Define and utilize the implementation scorecard to enhance time to go-live, milestone achievement, schedule predictability, scope management, and project manager capacity.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in program or project management, implementation, or delivery within B2B software or services.
• At least 3 years of experience managing project managers.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing a PMO or delivery framework that involves real technical dependencies.
• Experience in overseeing portfolio-level resource allocation and advocating for capacity and sequencing trade-offs to leadership.
• Familiarity with selecting and implementing a project management tool, including migrating ongoing work and fostering user adoption.
• Proficiency in technical project management aspects such as integrations and APIs, Single Sign-On (SSO), identity management, environments, data flows, UAT, and Quality Assurance (QA) coordination.
• Experience interacting with executive-level clients, including leading steering committees and communicating challenging information effectively.
• Experience in hiring, mentoring, and managing the performance of project managers.
• Preferred: Background in healthcare, digital health, virtual care, or regulated industries.
• Preferred: Experience in coordinating clinical, pharmacy, laboratory, credentialing, licensing, or multi-state operational dependencies.
• Preferred: Experience in professional services or client delivery, distinguishing between project managers and technical implementers.
• Preferred: Experience in building or managing tiered delivery models.
• Preferred: PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification.
