This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Establish the long-term vision for the safety of Frontier Airlines' ground operations by consistently evaluating and actively addressing operational risks.
• Lead and nurture the safety team focused on ground operations safety, OSHA compliance, employee injury management, and emergency preparedness.
• Foster collaborations with management to enhance Airport Customer Service and Maintenance safety outcomes.
• Promote ongoing improvements in Aircraft Ground Damage, including the AGD Review Board, initiatives, metrics, and analyses.
• Create and oversee safety standards for business partners.
• Spearhead and enhance the ground safety investigation process, covering high-severity incidents, aircraft ground damage, and significant employee injury cases.
• Ensure that procedures, processes, policies, equipment, and facilities contribute to a safe and compliant working environment.
• Act as a representative of Frontier Airlines to external trade and governmental bodies regarding ground safety matters.
• Manage compliance with national and local occupational, industrial, and environmental regulations.
• Guarantee that a comprehensive Emergency Response plan is established and regularly tested.
• Supervise the Senior Manager Emergency Response, Manager Occupational and Environmental Compliance, and Ground Safety Specialist.
• At least 8 years of experience in the aviation or airline industry.
• A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent of two additional years of relevant training or experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience leading airport/ramp operations with a focus on improved safety performance.
• Knowledge and experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Capability to formulate risk-responsive plans and accurately evaluate operational risks.
• Proficiency in collaborating across different work groups and managing conflicts effectively.
• Willingness and ability to travel 30% of the time.
• Exceptional verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work remotely from home with access to high-speed internet, if applicable.
• Compliance with Frontier’s remote work policies, if applicable.
