Director, Finance – Profitable Growth Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee the newly created Independent Review function.

• Conduct Independent Cost Estimate evaluations to assess financial risks in the bidding process and ensure execution confidence.

• Collaborate with functional leadership to set estimating standards and develop a professional estimating framework.

• Develop and manage a Corporate Independent Cost Estimate Review calendar.

• Prepare Independent Cost Estimate documentation for Segment and Corporate proposal assessments.

• Provide guidance on functional estimating initiatives and determine estimating criteria for bid evaluations.

• Work with Program Excellence to facilitate Non-Advocate Reviews, Baseline Reviews, and Program Assessment Reviews.

• Enhance the Independent Review discipline within the finance department and grow the review team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 15 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant experience, or 19 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.

• At least 12 years of experience in a defense contracting environment, encompassing proposals and financial roles.

• Proven experience in managing large proposal initiatives.

• Experience in leading components of independent cost and proposal evaluations.

• Proficient in assessing labor and material estimates, subcontractor proposals, specific contract terms, and cash flow projections.

• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Excellent analytical skills.

• Competence in modeling and conducting scenario analyses.

• Ability to collaborate across various functions.

• Capacity to meet project deadlines and handle time-sensitive tasks.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
