This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Contribute to the enhancement of the company’s North American business strategies by facilitating mergers and acquisitions.
• Lead the M&A department and supervise junior team members.
• Oversee integration readiness evaluations, the development of integration strategies, target due diligence, and management of post-close integrations.
• Cultivate departmental culture and enhance performance within the department.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of mergers and acquisitions across workforce planning, learning and development, talent management, performance management, organizational change, onboarding, engagement, and rewards.
• Analyze target financial statement trends and integrity to aid in investment model formulation.
• Direct, plan, and facilitate due diligence across commercial, financial, product, operations, technology, sales, and marketing sectors.
• Model and assess both impending and ongoing transactions.
• Conduct market research and strategic fit evaluations.
• Keep abreast of IFRS and GAAP developments pertinent to M&A and coordinate with UK Group accounting for North American implementation.
• Collaborate with business units and functional teams to create business cases that incorporate synergies and realistic cost forecasts.
• Develop financial valuation models to determine value creation for acquisition, venture, or divestment proposals.
• Manage post-acquisition evaluations and carry forward best practices and lessons learned.
• Assist acquisitions through the integration and transition to RNA systems and procedures.
• Oversee and coordinate calculations and settlements for deferred consideration payments.
• Direct or manage the financial accounting and reporting functions of acquired companies when necessary.
• 8–10 years of experience in M&A, finance, and/or senior-level accounting — required.
• Proficient in deal analysis, negotiation, and execution.
• Comprehensive understanding of accrual accounting principles and corporate finance.
• Experience in managing a large M&A team throughout the complete merger or acquisition lifecycle.
• Strong accounting foundation and familiarity with GAAP and IFRS.
• General business experience in a commercial context.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 2007 or later, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong spreadsheet capabilities.
• Familiarity with Google Suite and associated applications utilized at Rentokil-Terminix.
• Ability to collect, interpret, and leverage large volumes of information for business- and customer-focused decisions.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
• Ability to perform under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Capability to work autonomously and lead across various functional domains.
• Some legal exposure or experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting — required.
• MBA is preferred.
• CPA is preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% based on geographic location and conditions.
