This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Develop, implement, and manage the strategic initiatives of the Employee Relations department.
• Mentor, lead, and cultivate the skills of Employee Relations Managers and Specialists.
• Provide guidance to senior HR leaders, executive management, and legal advisors on intricate employee relations issues.
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations across all 50 states in the US.
• Review, revise, and execute HR policies and procedures.
• Identify trends, risks, and vulnerabilities in employee relations.
• Collaborate with legal counsel on complex terminations, administrative leaves, transition agreements, and legal disputes.
• Conduct high-level, sensitive, and intricate workplace investigations.
• Oversee the investigation process from initial intake to final resolution.
• Assist HR business partners and leaders with performance management activities, including PIPs and formal warnings.
• Develop and deliver training for leadership on compliance with employment laws, performance management, conflict resolution, and fostering positive work environments.
• Support organizational transformations, restructuring, and realignments through strategic communication plans and leadership support.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employment Law, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in HR.
• At least 5–7 years specifically focused on Employee Relations and compliance with employment law.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in leading and developing a remote HR/ER team.
• Demonstrated experience in managing employee relations, navigating employment laws, and formulating HR policies for a distributed, multi-state workforce across all 50 US states.
• Advanced proficiency in conducting and overseeing complex, high-risk workplace investigations.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Skill in drafting sensitive documents, including agreements, executive summaries, and scripts.
• Capacity to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Travel may be necessary.
• Certifications such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or Employee Relations/Workplace Investigations certifications like AWI-CH are highly preferred.
