This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage daily financial operations related to digital assets, which includes wallet and custody administration, transaction execution, approval workflows, settlement, and ongoing position monitoring.
• Handle the complete reconciliation process for digital asset activities, encompassing on-chain data, sub-ledger, and general ledger, while addressing any discrepancies with exchanges and custodians.
• Establish the operational, accounting, and control standards necessary for new product and token launches prior to their go-live dates.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure an accurate and timely financial close for digital asset transactions, covering fair value measurement, cost basis, and financial statement disclosures.
• Develop, document, and implement the control framework for digital assets, which includes SOX controls, segregation of duties, and approval thresholds.
• Act as the primary finance liaison for custodians, exchanges, and other counterparties.
• Create scalable systems and automation for reconciliation, reporting, and controls in collaboration with Engineering and Product, integrating AI-driven tools wherever feasible.
• Generate regular reports regarding digital asset positions, flows, and exposures for senior management, the board, and auditors.
• 8-12 years of experience in financial operations, treasury, accounting, controllership, or investment banking, including 2-3 years specifically in the digital assets sector.
• Strong foundation in accounting and comprehensive understanding of financial statements.
• Proven experience in managing financial operations for digital assets, covering custody, wallets, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with digital asset accounting under U.S. GAAP, including fair value measurement and related disclosures.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a history of establishing processes in areas lacking structure.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, particularly with executive-level audiences.
• Knowledge of lending, fintech, blockchain, stablecoins, or tokenized assets is advantageous.
• Previous experience in a public company is a plus.
• Proven ability to design and manage control environments, including SOX compliance, is preferred.
• Comply with all company security protocols and data handling procedures.
• Complete mandatory security awareness training within designated timeframes.
• Promptly report any suspected security incidents or unusual activities to the Security team.
