This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Strategic Account Management team.
• Set priorities, performance standards, and accountability for achieving profitable sales growth and expanding market share.
• Formulate and implement strategies for key distribution accounts.
• Guide strategic account plans that encompass growth opportunities, profitability goals, product priorities, competitive risks, and execution necessities.
• Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with key customers.
• Drive significant customer negotiations, corporate agreements, pricing strategies, and business reviews.
• Collaborate with field sales leadership to convert account strategies into actionable regional, district, and branch-level plans.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer relationships, boost product penetration, fortify market position, and foster sustainable growth.
• Work together with Pricing, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service teams.
• Utilize customer insights, financial performance data, market trends, and competitive intelligence to shape account strategy.
• Monitor account performance and business metrics, including KPIs, profitability, and growth targets.
• Promote a customer-centric, performance-oriented culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is required.
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in sales, strategic account management, commercial leadership, or a related area.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
• Successful track record in managing large, complex, multi-location or distribution-based customer relationships.
• Experience in delivering profitable revenue growth.
• Capability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Proficiency in evaluating pricing, profitability, market dynamics, and customer opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Experience in influencing senior-level internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to lead through influence and work effectively across various functions and organizational levels.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive-level relationship-building capabilities.
• Experience in building materials, manufacturing, construction products, or the distribution industry is highly preferred.
• Willingness to travel by air and car as required.
