This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Formulate top-tier strategies and oversee Insights and Analysis activities for designated clients.
• Act as the leading analytics authority and trusted consultant for the client.
• Manage the analytics domain encompassing consumer decision modeling, semantic/decisioning layers, pricing and promotion, assortment and localization, digital shelf, and competitive intelligence.
• Lead a flat, project-oriented team composed of both onshore and offshore members.
• Assemble teams based on project requirements and guide the work accordingly.
• Implement weekly status reports detailing progress, risks, and dependencies.
• Conduct monthly project-based business reviews for each area.
• Maintain a value scorecard that reflects client investment returns.
• Ensure that solutions have up-to-date documentation, defined workflows, and governance standards in the client’s environment.
• Transform delivered value into account growth and contribute to future opportunities.
• Report to practice leadership while managing the analytics discipline for the assigned account.
• Source talent from and provide talent to Merkle's global shared pool.
• Over 8 years of experience in commerce, retail, or merchandising analytics.
• Significant functional expertise in at least two of the following areas: pricing and promotion, assortment and space, consumer decision modeling / CDT, or competitive and digital-shelf intelligence.
• Strong business acumen regarding the four Ps and associated business drivers.
• Advanced technical proficiency in AI and machine learning, Python, SQL, and cloud computing.
• Familiarity with GCP, AWS, or Azure and their respective data/ML services.
• Proficiency with LLMs, agentic/GenAI, semantic and decisioning layers, experimentation and attribution platforms, and modern BI tools.
• Experience in leading senior client relationships as a trusted advisor.
• Ability to navigate complex, matrixed client organizations.
• Experience managing blended onshore/offshore teams across various time zones.
• Capability to translate business objectives into technical plans while maintaining delivery quality and timelines.
• Direct experience within a big-box or enterprise retailer's merchandising, category management, pricing, or online sectors is a plus.
• Experience in establishing a decisioning or semantic-layer product/business decision engine is advantageous.
• Proven track record of transforming delivery relationships into strategic partnerships and expanding them is beneficial.
