Director, Cardiac Surgery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement the Worldwide Indirect cardiac strategy in partnership with Global Distribution leadership.

• Identify, cultivate, and uphold relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, society leaders, and prominent institutions.

• Establish and enhance Centers of Excellence and Intuitive Cardiac Institutes of Learning (ICILs).

• Collaborate with Global Distribution Directors and distributor leadership to advance cardiac market development.

• Educate and mentor distributor organizations on cardiac program development and ecosystem preparedness.

• Facilitate cooperation among global cardiac thought leaders and encourage cross-country sharing of best practices.

• Work alongside Global Programs, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, Professional Education, and Product Management teams.

• Assist with Voice of Customer initiatives and offer insights to product development teams.

• Represent Intuitive as a speaker and subject matter expert at conferences and customer interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required (preferably in science, business, or a related field).

• Over 15 years of experience in the medical device sector.

• At least 4 years of international commercial leadership experience, particularly in Asia-Pacific markets.

• Profound understanding of the da Vinci cardiac surgery ecosystem and associated training pathways.

• Experience in supporting KOL development, Centers of Excellence, and the expansion of cardiac programs.

• Ability to convert global strategies into operational frameworks that support regional teams.

• Capability to collaborate across diverse regions and cultures with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Excellent executive communication and presentation abilities.

• Aptitude for managing complexity and supporting multiple regional leaders concurrently.

• Willingness to travel internationally, up to 60% of the time.

• A Master’s degree is preferred (in Business, International Business, or a related field).

• Experience in cardiac clinical, commercial operations, marketing, or sales is preferred.

• Proven experience leading within matrix organizations and managing indirect reporting relationships.
