This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Develop and implement Kambo's U.S. business development strategy.
• Identify, assess, and pursue new opportunities with utilities, government agencies, community organizations, and strategic partners.
• Manage a portfolio of opportunities from initial market engagement to contract award.
• Achieve revenue and pipeline growth objectives while ensuring accurate forecasting and adherence to CRM practices.
• Cultivate trusted relationships with executives at utilities, public agencies, industry associations, and delivery partners.
• Represent Kambo at conferences, industry events, and networking functions across the United States.
• Establish strategic partnerships that enhance Kambo's market presence and competitive edge.
• Stay informed on industry trends related to energy efficiency, electrification, climate, equity, and customer engagement.
• Lead or support competitive RFPs, RFQs, and funding proposals in collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Position Kambo proactively with prospective clients and partners prior to the release of procurement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to enhance Kambo's visibility and market positioning in the U.S.
• Assist in developing scalable business development processes, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure forecasting accuracy and pipeline visibility alongside the VP of Growth Operations.
• Work collaboratively with program, operations, finance, and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are operationally viable and meet client expectations.
• Over 10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, account leadership, or a similar role.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and meeting business development goals.
• Experience building executive-level relationships with utilities, government agencies, or similar enterprise clients.
• Experience leading or contributing to successful competitive RFPs and proposal submissions.
• Strong skills in strategic thinking, communication, and relationship management.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.
• Experience working with U.S. electric or gas utilities.
• Established network within the North American utility or clean energy sector.
• Experience with energy efficiency, electrification, affordability programs, climate initiatives, community engagement, housing, or social impact.
• Willingness to travel throughout the United States and Canada as needed.
• Preference for candidates based in Pacific and Mountain time zones in the U.S.; open to applicants from across the country.
