Director, APP Operations, UA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in strategizing and enhancing APP utilization and productivity within Urology practices.

• Collaborate with national APP leadership, practice leadership, physicians, APP leaders, and operational stakeholders to execute the APP operational strategy.

• Analyze data at both enterprise and practice levels, focusing on APP productivity, financial performance, staffing, utilization, ramping, retention, and operational metrics.

• Create and oversee standardized APP performance benchmarks and scorecards.

• Conduct assessments and on-site evaluations of workflows, staffing, scheduling, physician-APP care models, and operational challenges.

• Formulate practice-specific implementation plans aimed at optimizing utilization, workflow, access, productivity, and overall practice performance.

• Assist in the implementation process, assess progress, and address specific operational needs of practices.

• Identify and promote high-performing APP models and best practices.

• Collaborate with Finance, Human Resources, Revenue Cycle, Analytics, and practice leadership to address compensation, incentive, productivity, and performance models.

• Evaluate the APP workforce and staffing requirements, including recruitment, ramping, retention, and opportunities for capacity expansion.

• Support efforts in APP workforce planning and recruitment.

• Develop and nurture the APP leadership infrastructure, committees, and practice-level representation.

• Establish structures for communication and accountability with APP and practice leadership.

• Facilitate communication and the sharing of best practices among various practices.

• Work alongside Human Resources, Compliance, Credentialing, and practice leadership regarding state regulations, bylaws, credentialing requirements, and policies that influence APP scope and utilization.

• Collaborate with APP clinical leadership to support clinical initiatives, top-of-scope practice, and team-based care between physicians and APPs.

• Engage in enterprise and practice leadership meetings, communicating progress, opportunities, and outcomes.

• Stay informed about national APP operational trends and best practices.

• Perform additional duties related to the position as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree is mandatory.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Urology.

• Prior experience in building provider relationships is essential.

• Licensure and certification as mandated by the state are required.

• BLS certification is necessary; ACLS is preferred.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and follow-up skills are required.

• Ability to comprehend and implement the company's vision and values.

• Capability to manage established systems and processes effectively.

• Strong critical thinking skills to analyze complex operational data, discern trends and patterns, and make informed decisions.

• Competence in addressing operational performance challenges and developing and implementing strategies.

• Proven ability to lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives.

• Outstanding interpersonal, relationship-building, negotiation, and professional skills.

• Willingness to travel approximately 30–40% to practice sites.

• Compliance with relevant laws, regulations, Urology Alliance Code of Conduct, policies and procedures, HIPAA, and confidentiality obligations.
