Director Analyst, Privacy and Information Governance Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Generate innovative and thought-provoking content that offers essential insights.

• Formulate new insights and actionable strategies to address client requirements.

• Act as a principal authority on privacy and information governance subjects, which include GDPR, CCPA, DPIAs, data transfers, data mapping, subject rights, cookies, consent management, AI and privacy, biometrics, and consumer trust.

• Monitor external developments in privacy, AI, and AI governance.

• Collaborate with Legal, IT, Finance, and other specialists to comprehend client challenges, assess vendors, and establish thought leadership.

• Create content and insights related to emerging AI governance issues.

• Evaluate client barriers and needs to advance strategy.

• Define Insights positions and offer independent viewpoints to research agendas.

• Conduct research, analysis, and forecasting of market trends and shifts.

• Deliver actionable advice to clients and prospects through both virtual and in-person interactions.

• Develop and present materials for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings.

• Provide sales support and assist Insights teams in addressing critical priorities for client engagement.

• Perform timely, high-quality peer reviews of content.

• Represent Gartner's insights, methodologies, and strategies as an industry authority.

• Engage in innovation, ideation, research discussions, and collaboration within the Insights community.

• Identify opportunities for research process enhancements and create new procedures.

• Mentor and guide junior team members.

• Facilitate regular client engagement with Gartner insights and interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; JD degree is preferred.

• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in privacy, information governance, or corporate in-house legal departments.

• Proven experience in leading or coordinating privacy risk management initiatives.

• Background in establishing or executing privacy strategies.

• Familiarity with information or data governance involving multiple stakeholder groups.

• Experience in reviewing and synthesizing emerging privacy regulations and related laws.

• Experience with AI governance is highly desirable.

• Executive presence and the capability to build credibility with executives and stakeholders.

• Strong organizational abilities and capacity to meet stringent deadlines.

• Excellence in research and writing skills.

• Proficient written and verbal communication, analytical, and presentation skills.

• Ability to engage clients and respond to inquiries effectively.

• Proficiency in data analysis and synthesis, along with the application of patterns and frameworks.

• Capability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

• Subject matter expertise with comfort in presenting at both large and small-scale events.

• Strong business and financial insight.

• Extensive knowledge of the global and competitive landscape in the relevant subject area.

• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across teams in a multicultural, global setting.

• Learning agility and capacity to navigate highly matrixed environments.

• Ability to effectively represent Gartner's research methodologies and strategies.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
