Direct Support Professional, Yamhill County

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Assist with daily living activities, such as meals, hygiene, and organization.

• Facilitate community engagement, including shopping, errands, and outings.

• Offer emotional regulation support through calm and structured methods.

• Uphold clear boundaries and consistent expectations.

• Aid in household maintenance and organization.

• Foster independence and personal accountability.

• Communicate updates effectively with care teams.

• Complete necessary documentation.

• Help ensure a safe, predictable, and respectful environment.

• Provide individualized in-home and community support for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.

• Current auto insurance that meets state requirements.

• Ability to pass a background check (not all records will disqualify you).

• Must be comfortable assisting with personal care needs.

• Prior experience in caregiving, Direct Support Professional (DSP), behavioral support, or roles related to intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to set boundaries are preferred.

• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
