Direct Support Professional, DSP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and organization.

• Facilitate community engagement, including shopping, running errands, and participating in outings.

• Provide support for emotional regulation through calm and structured methods.

• Ensure the maintenance of clear boundaries and consistent expectations.

• Aid in household maintenance and organization tasks.

• Promote independence and personal accountability among individuals.

• Share updates with care teams effectively.

• Complete necessary documentation as required.

• Help create and sustain a safe, predictable, and respectful living environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is necessary.

• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

• Current auto insurance that meets state regulations is essential.

• Ability to pass a background check (not all records will disqualify candidates).

• Must be comfortable assisting with personal care needs.

• Preferred: Experience in caregiving, Direct Support Professional (DSP), behavioral support, or roles involving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

• Preferred: Experience working with individuals with I/DD.

• Preferred: Strong communication skills and the ability to set boundaries effectively.

• Preferred: CPR/First Aid certification.
