Direct Support Professional, DSP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Assist in daily living activities, which encompass meals, hygiene, and organization.

• Support community engagement, including shopping, errands, and recreational outings.

• Offer emotional regulation assistance through calm and structured methods.

• Uphold clear boundaries and maintain consistent expectations.

• Aid in household maintenance and organization tasks.

• Promote independence and foster personal responsibility.

• Communicate progress and updates with care teams, while completing necessary documentation.

• Help create a safe, predictable, and respectful environment.

• Deliver one-on-one in-home and community support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is essential.

• Current auto insurance must meet state regulations.

• Ability to successfully pass a background check (not all records result in disqualification).

• Comfortable with providing personal care support.

• Preferred: Experience in caregiving, Direct Support Professional (DSP), behavioral support, or roles related to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

• Preferred: Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Preferred: Strong skills in communication and boundary-setting.

• Preferred: Certification in CPR/First Aid.
