Digital Solutions Architect – GeoSCADA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and create SCADA systems utilizing Client GeoSCADA, AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA Historian, AVEVA PI, Ignition SCADA, and associated software.

• Configure and program SCADA applications to oversee and manage industrial processes across manufacturing, energy, mining, and utility sectors.

• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and stakeholders to comprehend requirements and develop tailored solutions.

• Lead a project team consisting of Digital Solutions engineering members.

• Decompose high-level deliverables into actionable work tasks while ensuring adherence to quality standards.

• Mentor and guide members of the engineering team.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot SCADA software along with related PLC components.

• Integrate SCADA systems with historians for effective data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.

• Develop custom scripts using .NET, JavaScript, Python, VBScript, and various other scripting languages.

• Conduct system testing and commissioning while addressing any issues or discrepancies that arise.

• Execute system upgrades and modifications with minimal impact on operations.

• Offer technical support and guidance to end-users.

• Engage in training sessions focused on advancements and trends in SCADA technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience as a SCADA Architect.

• Demonstrated expertise with Client Geo SCADA, AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA PI, and Ignition SCADA.

• Proficient in SCADA architectures, data modeling, and integration with PLC/RTU/SCADA systems.

• Experience in identifying and implementing automation to enhance user experience (UX).

• Familiarity with OPC DA/UA, Modbus, DNP3, JSON, REST, and XML protocols.

• Capability to create SQL databases for data streams and develop custom SQL queries/logic.

• Ability to create or modify PLC programs using Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams, and Ladder Logic.

• Experience in managing multiple project priorities and deliverables.

• Proven experience collaborating with project management and engineering project teams.

• Skilled in creating and modifying SCADA/HMI screens, alarms, and reports.

• Willingness to travel to customer sites as necessary, approximately 25% based on customer and project requirements.

• Capacity to work during EST or CST time zones from any location.
