This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Take charge of company events, which include industry gatherings, tradeshows, conferences, luncheons, and thought leadership discussions.
• Oversee digital events such as webinars and podcasts, serving as the host and representative of the company.
• Conduct research, assess, and recommend events that align with the ideal customer profile and revenue objectives.
• Maintain a rolling 12-month event calendar.
• Manage relationships with event organizers, vendors, and venues; negotiate sponsorships, booth space, speaking opportunities, and additional services.
• Plan and execute events from start to finish, covering aspects such as booth design and logistics, promotional items, collateral, lead capture, badge scanners, audiovisual needs, catering, hotel arrangements, and travel logistics.
• Attend each event in person as the primary on-site contact; handle booth setup and dismantling while troubleshooting any issues that arise.
• Brief team members attending the event on objectives, talking points, target accounts, and logistical details.
• Collaborate with sales to schedule pre-show meetings, organize dinners and customer events, and effectively capture, qualify, and follow up on leads.
• Execute pre- and post-event marketing campaigns in conjunction with the marketing team, including email outreach, landing pages, paid promotions, and social media efforts.
• Manage the event budget by tracking expenses, forecasting costs, identifying risks, and making trade-off decisions to optimize return on investment.
• Establish event key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate post-event reports detailing leads, meetings, pipeline, ROI, and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to transform event activities into meetings, opportunities, and revenue.
• 1 to 4 years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or event coordination, preferably in B2B or technology sectors.
• Proven experience in managing events from start to finish, even on a smaller scale.
• Experience overseeing an events budget, including forecasting, expense tracking, and making strategic trade-offs to enhance ROI.
• Proficient in defining KPIs and creating reports that link event activities to pipeline and revenue.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI for automating or enhancing tasks as an events marketer; this is essential.
• Familiarity with HubSpot is preferred.
• Strong project management skills across timelines, budgets, vendors, and various moving components.
• Comfortable negotiating with vendors and event organizers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and address problems in real-time.
• Willing to travel 30 to 50% during peak event seasons across North America, with possible travel to Europe as the company grows.
• Must reside within approximately an hour of a major airport hub with frequent direct flights.
• Must have the legal right to work in the country of residence; visa sponsorship is not available.
