This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Promote and sell Zoetis diagnostic instruments, tests, related products, and services within a designated sales territory in the US.
• Develop and sustain strong customer relationships to enhance customer retention.
• Meet and exceed budgeted sales targets within assigned accounts.
• Regularly update and maintain the sales funnel and customer profile information.
• Collaborate with colleagues at Zoetis to achieve objectives and support the diagnostics division.
• Conduct visits to both existing and potential customer locations, aiming for 3–4 visits to established customers and 3–4 new business opportunities daily.
• Record all interactions with customers and prospects in the online database.
• Safely transport, set up, and demonstrate diagnostic equipment and solutions.
• Articulate the applications, benefits, and value proposition of diagnostic products and services.
• Obtain purchase orders from customers.
• Provide continuous customer support via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
• Conduct courtesy calls to customers and inform them about new products and service updates.
• Collaborate with sales, accounting, and technical teams to meet customer needs.
• Work in tandem with the Diagnostic Technical Specialist.
• Generate new business opportunities and leads, including placing instruments in competitor accounts, academic institutions, and research environments.
• Collect referrals from current customers.
• Assist in billing and collection efforts.
• Travel within the designated territory up to 60%–70% of the time, which includes significant driving and approximately 4–8 overnight stays each month.
• At least 4 years of proven sales experience or relevant technical/clinical expertise, preferably in the medical, scientific, or healthcare sectors.
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A focus on science or business is ideal.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proven skills in selling capital equipment in physician and/or veterinary clinics.
• Proficient in delivering presentations, including financial presentations, to various audiences.
• Capable of efficiently transporting, setting up, and demonstrating equipment.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to work autonomously.
• A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and auto insurance are necessary.
• Must be able to safely lift and move up to 60 lbs.
• All candidates must have or be able to obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis.
