This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Promote and sell Zoetis diagnostic instruments, tests, related products, and services within a designated U.S. sales territory.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships to enhance retention rates.
• Meet or exceed assigned sales quotas within targeted accounts.
• Regularly update and maintain the sales funnel and customer profile information.
• Collaborate with colleagues at Zoetis to achieve objectives and support the Diagnostics division.
• Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic products and services.
• Travel to both existing and potential customer locations, aiming to engage with 3–4 current customers and 3–4 new business prospects each day.
• Engage in considerable travel, including occasional overnight stays, roughly 4–8 nights per month depending on the assigned territory.
• Record interactions with customers and prospects in the online system.
• Safely transport, lift, set up, and demonstrate diagnostic solutions and equipment.
• Clarify product applications, advantages, and value propositions; respond to customer inquiries.
• Secure purchase orders for diagnostic products and services.
• Deliver ongoing customer support through in-person meetings, phone calls, and emails.
• Update clients on new products, services, and instrumentation advancements.
• Coordinate with sales, accounting, and technical teams to meet customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Diagnostic Technical Specialists to improve customer service and product utilization.
• Identify and generate new business opportunities, including placing instruments in competitor environments, academic institutions, and research facilities.
• Collect referrals from current customers.
• Aid in billing and collection processes.
• At least four years of proven sales experience or relevant technical/clinical background, ideally in the medical, scientific, or healthcare sectors.
• Minimum of an associate’s degree, preferably focused on science or business, or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficient in English.
• Demonstrates early-adopter behavior and a quick learning capability.
• Capable of grasping and applying technical information, showcasing technical sales skills.
• Knowledgeable in veterinary terminology and science.
• Experience in selling capital equipment in veterinary clinics and/or physician practices.
• Strong presentation abilities, including financial presentations, across all organizational levels.
• Proficient in transporting, setting up, and demonstrating equipment efficiently.
• Familiar with market trends, sales strategies, and business intelligence.
• Awareness of competition and effective value messaging.
• Possess organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently.
• Capable of safely lifting and moving up to 60 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and auto insurance coverage.
• Must have or be able to obtain authorization to work in the U.S.; sponsorship may be offered at Zoetis’s discretion.
