This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Promote and sell Zoetis diagnostic instruments, tests, related products, and services within a designated sales territory in the US.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships to enhance customer loyalty.
• Meet or exceed budgeted sales targets within assigned accounts.
• Regularly update and manage the sales funnel and customer profile information in the system.
• Work collaboratively with Zoetis team members to achieve collective objectives and support the diagnostics business.
• Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic products and services.
• Travel to both current and potential customer locations, aiming to visit 3-4 existing clients and 3-4 new business prospects each day.
• Transport equipment to customer and potential customer sites.
• Lift, set up, and showcase diagnostic solutions, equipment, and features.
• Articulate the uses and advantages of products and services, address inquiries, and convey the value proposition.
• Secure purchase orders for diagnostic products and services.
• Provide continuous customer support in person, via phone, and through email for product, technical, or service inquiries.
• Conduct customer courtesy calls and update clients on new products, services, and instrumentation enhancements.
• Collaborate with sales, accounting, and technical teams to resolve customer queries and requirements.
• Work in partnership with Diagnostic Technical Specialists to enhance customer service and product usage.
• Generate new business leads, including placing instruments in competitor locations, academic institutions, and research environments.
• Collect referrals from current customers.
• Assist with billing and collection processes.
• Engage in extensive driving and occasional overnight travel throughout the assigned territory.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• At least 4 years of proven sales experience or relevant technical/clinical background, ideally in the medical, scientific, or healthcare sectors.
• A minimum of an Associate’s degree; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally with a focus on science or business, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated early adopter behavior and quick learning capability.
• Ability to comprehend and apply technical information while showcasing proficient technical sales skills.
• Skill in expanding technical knowledge through relationships and innovative solutions.
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and science.
• Proven experience in selling capital equipment within physician and/or veterinary clinics.
• Proficient in delivering presentations, including financial presentations, to a range of audiences.
• Capability to transport, set up, and demonstrate equipment efficiently and effectively.
• Awareness of current and potential future market trends, sales strategies, and business insights.
• Understanding of competitive landscape and value messaging.
• Proven organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to work independently.
• Ability to safely lift and carry 60 lbs.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and auto insurance are required.
• All candidates must have or be able to obtain authorization to work in the US for Zoetis.
• Expected travel within the assigned territory as necessary (up to 60%-70%).
• Occasional overnight travel (approximately 4-8 nights per month, depending on territory).
