Diagnostic Radiology Technologist, Regional Float – Days

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct a comprehensive range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Gather and assess data necessary for diagnosis as requested by a licensed practitioner for their interpretation.

• Independently execute or support licensed practitioners in radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Confirm accurate orders, patient identification and readiness, validated clinical history, and proper documentation.

• Implement imaging protocols and enhance technical parameters while prioritizing patient safety and care in line with ALARA principles.

• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access sites as directed.

• Assess images for proper positioning and technical quality.

• Ensure archival storage, data transfer, and post-processing are verified when necessary.

• Instruct and supervise students and other healthcare professionals.

• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and advanced radiologic procedures.

• Execute diagnostic radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures both within and outside the Radiology Department, including operating rooms, Endoscopy, and ICU.

• Adhere to federal and state regulations, as well as organizational policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).

• Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study (Preferred).

• Basic Life Support Certification.

• Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• New graduates must secure ARRT-R registry within 6 months of hire date.

• Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, are required to fulfill steps necessary for advancement to level 2 within 24 months.

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience (Preferred).

• Familiarity with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Capability to administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.

• Competence in preparing, administering, and documenting medications and radiation exposure per applicable laws, regulations, and policies.

• Ability to function effectively in a clinical setting.

• Adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
