Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Regional Float

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Administer ionizing radiation for purposes related to diagnostics, therapy, or research.

• Conduct a comprehensive range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Gather and analyze data for diagnostic purposes as requested by a licensed practitioner for interpretation.

• Independently execute or assist licensed practitioners with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation exposure accurately.

• Verify correct orders, confirm patient identification, ensure exam preparation, corroborate clinical history, and maintain appropriate documentation.

• Implement imaging protocols and optimize technical factors while prioritizing patient safety and adhering to ALARA principles.

• Assess images for correct positioning and technical quality.

• Confirm archival storage or transfer of data and perform post-processing as necessary.

• Educate and supervise students and other healthcare professionals.

• Support licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiologic procedures.

• Execute diagnostic radiographic and non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures in radiology and various clinical settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (Required).

• Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study (Preferred).

• Basic Life Support Certification.

• Radiography (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

• New graduates are required to obtain ARRT-R registry within six months of hire.

• Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must fulfill the necessary steps for advancement to level 2 within 24 months.

• Minimum of one year of relevant work experience (Preferred).

• Capability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.

• Understanding of medication administration and documentation of radiation exposure in compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, or institutional policies.

• Willingness to work night shifts.

• Availability for a 40-hour work week.
