DevSecOps, Cloud Systems Engineer – Clearance Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and enhance robust, secure CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab.

• Implement DevSecOps principles through automated vulnerability assessments and compliance checkpoints.

• Standardize deployment templates and pipeline processes to boost development speed.

• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and scaling of ERP testing platforms, such as Tricentis Tosca, qTest, NeoLoad, and LiveCompare.

• Manage and troubleshoot intricate hybrid deployments that integrate containerized microservices on EKS with monolithic applications on EC2.

• Administer and scale AWS infrastructure across EKS, EC2, S3, and RDS.

• Enforce cloud security measures, including IAM policies, VPC security, and least-privilege access principles.

• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for EKS and EC2 nodes.

• Diagnose environment-related failures and performance issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of focused experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Cloud/Systems Engineering, with a proven history of managing production environments.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including in-depth operational knowledge of EKS and EC2 instance management.

• Demonstrated experience in building, securing, and maintaining complex pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.

• High proficiency in Python or Bash scripting.

• Practical experience in integrating SAST/DAST, container scanning, and secret detection within CI/CD pipelines.

• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.

• Ability to mentor junior team members and effectively collaborate with testing and QA engineering leads.

• Active Secret security clearance.

• Direct experience in installing, configuring, or upgrading ERP software testing tools.

• Strong experience managing cloud environments using Terraform.

• Familiarity with AWS RDS configuration, optimization, and migration processes supporting enterprise test repositories.
