Senior Microsoft Engineer – Azure, Intune

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.

• Oversee Azure Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Azure AD, and security services.

• Monitor cloud resources to enhance performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

• Assist in cloud migration and modernization projects.

• Administer and support environments using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.

• Set up and deploy device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and application rollouts.

• Oversee Windows Autopilot provisioning and lifecycle management.

• Ensure endpoint security, patch management, and adherence to device compliance standards.

• Manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.

• Facilitate identity and access management through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).

• Implement and oversee Conditional Access, MFA, and Zero Trust security protocols.

• Troubleshoot issues related to user access, collaboration, and productivity platforms.

• Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.

• Maintain server infrastructure, storage systems, and virtualization technologies.

• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.

• Carry out system upgrades, patching, and maintenance tasks.

• Implement and uphold Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and security best practices.

• Monitor and address vulnerabilities across servers, endpoints, and cloud resources.

• Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and security evaluations.

• Develop and sustain system documentation and operational procedures.

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support and resolve complex infrastructure challenges.

• Collaborate with engineering, security, and business teams to deliver technological solutions.

• Participate in on-call support and incident response activities as needed.

• Mentor junior IT personnel and offer technical leadership on various projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of experience in supporting Microsoft enterprise environments.

• Strong practical experience with Microsoft Azure administration and services.

• Experience in administering Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server.

• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Strong grasp of networking concepts, security principles, and identity management.

• Excellent skills in troubleshooting, documentation, and communication.

• Preferred: Microsoft certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert (MS-102), and Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).

• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and security tools.

• Preferred: Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization platforms.

• Preferred: Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.

• Preferred: Experience working in hybrid cloud environments.
