DevSecOps – Cloud Operations Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist in the management and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructures, including the provisioning and administration of EC2, EKS, RDS, IAM, and Systems Manager.

• Facilitate DevSecOps deployment workflows by utilizing ArgoCD and Kubernetes-based RKE2 clusters.

• Create and manage GitLab projects aimed at enhancing software delivery, secrets management, policy-as-code, compliance automation, and security scanning.

• Execute software installation, configuration, upgrades, security patching, and maintenance for applications hosted in the cloud and DevSecOps tools.

• Support and maintain components of the DevSecOps platform, including GitLab, Grafana, Prisma, RKE2, and various AWS services.

• Manage SSL certificates, application secrets, and security controls across cloud environments.

• Oversee the monitoring of platform and application availability, performance, latency, and overall system health.

• Conduct incident response, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and service restoration for cloud platforms and applications.

• Address vulnerabilities and security issues identified through application and container security scanning tools.

• Deploy updated container images while ensuring compliance with organizational security standards.

• Maintain AWS environments in accordance with security requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of equivalent professional experience.

• Possession of an Active Secret Security Clearance.

• DCWF 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (Security+ CE or equivalent).

• Proven experience in supporting AWS cloud environments and cloud-native services.

• Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD pipeline administration.

• Understanding of Kubernetes, container technologies, and contemporary application deployment practices.

• Experience in scripting or automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.

• Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps methodologies.

• Background in administering AWS GovCloud environments.

• Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity and compliance regulations.
