DevOps/API Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design and oversee comprehensive CI/CD pipelines across both local servers and cloud environments.

• Manage local hardware and cloud environments using code.

• Create, construct, document, and sustain secure, scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and web services.

• Integrate on-premises applications with cloud-native services and third-party systems.

• Oversee and monitor networking, API request routing, and data synchronization between on-premises storage and cloud services.

• Implement site-reliability practices to guarantee continuous delivery, API resilience, and high availability.

• Incorporate security scanning, compliance checks, OAuth 2.0, SAML, API keys, and rate limiting into the development lifecycle.

• Automate manual workflows using scalable programmatic solutions and API integrations.

• Connect engineering complexities with business objectives.

• Provide leadership during system outages, API failures, and production incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active Secret clearance is required.

• U.S. citizenship is necessary for obtaining the Secret clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 3–5 years of relevant experience.

• Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification or a higher DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II compliant certification, such as CYSA+, GSEC, or CISSP.

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

• Strong background in API engineering, including experience with API gateways, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications, and web service protocols.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Practical experience in scripting/programming with Python, Bash, Go, or Node.js.

• Outstanding communication skills.
