This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Take ownership of the overall reliability, scalability, and performance of the platform.
• Design, construct, and manage cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to enhance the platform.
• Implement and sustain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies.
• Empower teams through developer support, mentoring, and best practices.
• Ensure comprehensive observability through monitoring, logging, and tracing.
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct root cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement.
• Define and oversee SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets.
• Optimize cloud expenditures while upholding performance and security standards.
• Contribute to the platform's strategy, architecture, and governance frameworks.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in developing an AI-ready internal platform that standardizes and simplifies software delivery for an international premium kitchen and household appliance manufacturer.
• Enable hundreds of developers and increasingly AI-driven workflows to deliver production-ready solutions more swiftly and confidently.
• Extensive hands-on experience with cloud-native application environments, including deployment, scaling, and operational management.
• Advanced expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster setup, workload management, autoscaling, and high availability.
• Solid experience with AWS, covering resource management, security best practices, and cloud-native services.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code; Terraform is preferred.
• Proven track record in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of observability practices, including monitoring, logging, and tracing.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js.
• Experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis.
• Familiarity with SLI, SLO, SLA frameworks, and error budgets.
• Experience in cloud cost optimization with a FinOps mindset.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation: 18/7, and occasionally 24/7.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and support developer enablement.
• Proactive mindset, ownership attitude, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Nice to have: multi-cloud experience with GCP or Azure.
• Nice to have: familiarity with architecture frameworks such as Aim42.
• Nice to have: experience in test automation, including unit, integration, and functional testing.
• Nice to have: knowledge of FinOps practices and cost governance.
• Nice to have: exposure to Data & AI ecosystems.
• Nice to have: experience with REST or Hypermedia API design.
• Nice to have: understanding of Team Topologies or platform engineering models.
• Nice to have: experience in mentoring, coaching, or developer relations.
• Nice to have: familiarity with performance testing and chaos engineering.
• Nice to have: knowledge of PKI and IAM security.
• Nice to have: understanding of ISO 25010 and ITIL/service management.
• Nice to have: experience using AI tools in daily workflows.
• Fully remote position available within Poland.
• Occasional business travel to Germany or Zurich, typically once every quarter for 3–4 days.
