DevOps Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Macedonia.

📋 Description

• Design and construct cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, overseeing projects from architectural design to implementation.

• Manage high-complexity projects for key clients and troubleshoot critical technical challenges.

• Develop technical strategies, foresee emerging trends, align initiatives with business goals, and execute plans across teams.

• Address technical obstacles or navigate challenging client scenarios in ongoing projects.

• Recruit, onboard, and nurture talent within the organization.

• Foster psychological safety, assess team engagement, and mediate conflicts effectively.

• Conduct one-on-ones, performance evaluations, and create improvement plans, including managing complex performance situations.

• Guide senior engineers and oversee teams while promoting best practices.

• Evaluate change implementation alternatives, assess benefits and risks, and suggest optimal approaches.

• Monitor KPIs and align team operations with strategic goals.

• Lead high-stakes client engagements and ensure robust cross-functional collaboration.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of DevOps experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Practical experience with serverless computing, scripting, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Proficient in GitOps, CI/CD tools, and infrastructure as code (AWS CDK / Terraform / CDKTF).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in building high-performing, inclusive teams and nurturing talent at all levels.

• Confident in managing budgets, KPIs, and relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Strong client interaction abilities and the capacity to lead under pressure with composure and efficiency.

• Demonstrates autonomy, flexibility, and a consistently positive demeanor within teams.

• Proficient in English for meetings, client communications, and business correspondence.

• Resume must be written in English.
