DevOps Engineer, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.

• Enhance and support infrastructure across various products, including on-premise, AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid setups.

• Create and refactor internal platform tools and services utilizing Go.

• Construct a next-generation alternative for the existing deployment system.

• Assess current infrastructure to pinpoint vulnerabilities and implement improvements.

• Optimize stage and ephemeral environments to make them faster, more reliable, and cost-effective.

• Manage infrastructure as code utilizing Terraform and Ansible.

• Enhance observability with Grafana, OpenSearch, metrics, and alerting mechanisms.

• Address operational and support tasks collaboratively across the team.

• Collaborate closely with R&D, QA, SRE, and infrastructure teams to enhance developer experience and expedite delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering at a senior level.

• Proven hands-on experience in deploying and supporting on-premise infrastructure, including troubleshooting hardware and infrastructure issues.

• Practical experience with at least one cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Recent production experience with Go, developing real tools, exporters, automation, or backend services.

• Strong hands-on expertise with Kubernetes.

• Solid experience with GitLab CI/CD.

• Proficient in Linux administration.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform and Ansible.

• Familiarity with observability tools: Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, Prometheus/VictoriaMetrics.

• Willingness to work with legacy systems and Windows environments: Windows Server, Hyper-V, PowerShell.

• Ownership mentality with the ability to deliver measurable outcomes.

• Self-motivated problem solving in unfamiliar systems.

• Systems thinking from code to production.

• Clear and pragmatic communication skills with the ability to deliver iteratively without unnecessary complexity.

• Collaborative mindset with low ego and high accountability.

• Experience with multiple cloud providers or hybrid infrastructure is a plus.

• Familiarity with Helm / Helmfile is a plus.

• Experience with VMware or other virtualization platforms is a plus.

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals is a plus.

• Experience with internal developer platforms is a plus.

• Basic frontend skills in JavaScript / React are a plus.
