DevOps Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes utilizing infrastructure-as-code and configuration-management tools.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines.

• Manage and administer containerized applications using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.

• Take ownership of projects from inception and design through to execution and delivery.

• Set up and optimize monitoring, alerting, and dashboard systems.

• Design and oversee cloud infrastructure across multiple public cloud platforms.

• Diagnose issues with web servers, reverse proxies, DNS, container workloads, serverless functions, background job processing, relational and NoSQL databases, as well as caching layers.

• Engage in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of 3 years in a DevOps or similar role.

• Practical experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong familiarity with at least one major public cloud provider, preferably with experience in multiple.

• Understanding of logging and metrics, and how monitoring relates to the health and performance of an environment.

• Proven ability to quickly resolve complex production issues.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
