DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Oversee and maintain Linux-based systems

• Assist and troubleshoot containerized applications utilizing Docker and Podman

• Investigate and resolve incidents in production and platform-related issues

• Facilitate hybrid deployments across both private and public cloud environments

• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of the platform

• Develop, sustain, and enhance Bash automation scripts

• Design and refine CI/CD pipelines to optimize software delivery processes

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at infrastructure automation and operational efficiency

• Advocate for DevOps best practices throughout the platform ecosystem

• Maintain and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks

• Construct and support dashboards and telemetry systems

• Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and potential reliability risks

• Enhance observability features for critical business applications

• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and infrastructure teams on deployment and modernization projects

• Aid in the migration and transformation of legacy systems

• Contribute to platform enhancement initiatives and cloud adoption strategies

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience in administering and troubleshooting Linux environments

• Practical experience with container technologies including Docker and Podman

• Advanced skills in Bash scripting, with the capability to create and maintain complex automation scripts

• Experience with AWS services and managing hybrid deployments in both private and public cloud settings

• Strong grasp of networking fundamentals, encompassing network interfaces, routing, connectivity, and performance troubleshooting

• Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, Ansible, or similar technologies

• Knowledge of monitoring and observability platforms like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, or equivalent solutions

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Delivery-focused mindset with an emphasis on reliability and continuous improvement

• Proficient level of English (both written and spoken)

• Development experience in C# or Java, with a comprehension of .NET or JVM-based applications (preferred)

• Experience in application lifecycle management and operational support (preferred)

• Understanding of Linux CPU architecture, memory management, and performance tuning (preferred)

• Experience in migrating and modernizing extensive legacy platforms (preferred)

• Experience in designing and implementing complex deployment pipelines (preferred)

• Experience in managing and supporting self-hosted tools and infrastructure services (preferred)
